    Pretty Good

The room had a little bit of a funny smell, even though this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in for a while. It was good being on the ground floor and quite close to the pool. It is also within a good walking distance from Publix, the beach and a number of other shops which was really good.

First we left our hotel and went out to town and had some breakfast at a restaurant called the Brunner. They had really nice food and drinks.
After we had breakfast we went to see a Spanish Galleon. They sailed these about 400 years ago for trade. It had lots of sails, ropes and cannons.

We left Saint Augustine and drove along the …

This morning we went kayaking at Thousand Islands Reserve. We kayaked through lots of mangrove tunnels. There were lots of Manatees. They were rubbing their backs against our kayaks. Some of them weigh up to a thousand KGS and were longer than our kayaks. They are endangered because they move so slow and are often hit by boats.

    After that …

Today we went into town and had breakfast, then looked in a few of the shops.

Next, we walked to a Spanish galleon. It was a replica of the El Nao which circumnavigated the world in the 16th century, I think. They were used for trade from the 15th to the 17th century and were very important for the spice trade.

    Then we drove to …

... to pass under since you also have to pass through a narrow railroad drawbridge. The passage leaves little room for error, especially given the strong currents and blind spot behind the RR bridge. Yikes!). We exited the Ocheechobee and returned to the coastal ICW where the water is greener and cleaner. Our destination was Vero Beach. It was a good cruise. The wind was tolerable and we saw an abundance of wild life including several sting rays leaping out of the water. ...

... around the rocket garden, I hate gardening in my eyes it's for old people who are waiting for the reaper to appear, however if an old person made a garden like this I would definitely take it up, it seems quite low maintenance as well, all the rockets just need a lick of paint once in a while, no need to cut the grass or dig up the weeds just fire up the rockets and burn all the nasty green stuff away, might **** the neighbours off though.
