The room had a little bit of a funny smell, even though this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in for a while. It was good being on the ground floor and quite close to the pool. It is also within a good walking distance from Publix, the beach and a number of other shops which was really good.

... Cocoa Beach would be an awesome vantage point. I couldn't belive my lucky timing, a rocket launch and a night one at that! Sadly my Intel was hours old and came from unreliable sources; it was scrubbed by Elon Musk almost as soon as the rocket was erected at the launch pad due to telemetry issues in Texas. No relaunch date was set. Dang! Anyway, I digress.

... and for once we have arrived quite early, the sun is out so we spend most of the day by the pool taking in the rays, it's nice to not be rushing around. Cocoa beach is a really nice place, lots of restaurants and shops, it's about 45 mins from Orlando so it's a bit more relaxed than the hustle and bustle around Disney and best of all it's next to Cape Canaveral the home of NASA, you have no idea how excited I am, I may have just wet myself, ...

We had a late night drive through to Jacksonville Florida, after Patrick and a kid we stayed with played Paintball for hours and hours. Spent a lazy day there, then went down to St Augustine, the oldest European settlement, and Fort Matzuma, Big scrap between French and Spanish. Had a cool day checking out embankments etc and kicking a soccer ball around lots

          Then we hit NASA ...
