... kilometers off of the East-African coast, and 90 percent of the population lives on Mahe Island, mostly in one of the world's smallest capital cities, Victoria.
The people here (to put it simply) are good. I met several of them along my adventure, and not one of them was anything opposite of pleasant. The food is excellent, and the beaches are certain to leave you with, at the very ...
... I was completely shocked by - he told me that he had a place I could stay at for the evening. It turned out that he was actually from the Seychelles, living on Mahe Island, but working on La Digue at a hotel. He said he rented a little apartment, and that I was welcome to stay - he said it wasn't much, but it was something, and considering my dilemma, something was more than I had. I couldn't believe the offer, and my luck. It was truly an ...

Most of which appeared to be directed towards the tourists, understandably of course as tourism is the biggest industry here. As I began passing by them though, I wondered what was wrong - almost every single place was closed, and it was actually rather difficult to tell if anything was even still ...

With that we were up before dawn to catch our 7am flight back to Italy connecting through Qatar and thus finished an incredible two weeks of sailing, that offered so much more. A trip that every sailor should attempt at least once in their life.

As we approach the bay the wind is being funneled to the mid 20s as we spot a mooring ball. Once settled in, Lisa and Marcello ...

We settled in for a lazy evening on the boat, well protected, but, a bit stuffy at the base of Baie St. Anne.

... and lows in the mid 70s. Hot enough to enjoy getting in the clear water, but cool enough so you are not sweating. We spent the majority of our time outside (wearing sunscreen) sitting under palm trees at the beach, hiking around, and riding bikes. Extreme relaxation!! One afternoon we went Scuba diving. We had a few choices as to different dive sites, and Todd was really keen on going to this one site around some huge granite rocks with pretty corals, lots of tropical fish ...
Anse Volbert on Praslin Island, Seychelles Islands globedeckerThe only thing I knew about the Seychelles was that it's an amazing holiday place. Going there changed my view. Go in a shop and you will not find what you are searching for. I have never seen such a long queue and an eager to get books as in the Seychelles.
