We were allowed a slight sleep in this morning and used the extra hour
to go for a walk around Exeter Cathedral which is just behind the hotel.
After this we drove down to Polperro , a small fishing village. More

stuff. Houses glued to the steep sides of the harbor. Time for a walk

Finally David arrives home and we sit down to dinner - chicken Tagline with couscous, more wine - sav blanc from Chile -followed by a berry pavlova which Gail has made another cup of tea before staggering downstairs to our basement bathroom. ... I have duck with marmalade sauce and Pete has steak - he was disappointed because it wasn't as good as the pork so decides to have dessert as well - caramel and chocolate tart - I, on the other hand remain strong willed and resist the temptation! We sit at the bar and have a nightcap before heading off into the dusk. A noisy night at the Lodge - we have been invaded by a heap of blokes who cough, ****, snore and talk until the early hours!!!! ah well time to leave ...
