... lot more about her and her family. Her husband was in the bombing raid on Arnhem and coined the phrase "A Bridge Too Far".

Then across to Dartmoor and Princetown, site of H.M. Prison for really bad criminals! Met up with old friends Jo and Andrew for lunch at The Plume of Feathers pub, where I had been many times in the past when I lived nearby. ...

Lazy day, with late brekkie. Drove with Liz and John via Torpoint and then Millbrook to Maker Heights, when we sat outside to eat lunch overlooking Cawsand - amazing in late November!

WEDNESDAY up at six and a thirty minute shuttle bus to terminal five. Beer with breakfast (well we are on holiday), picked up a couple of bottles of gin (not sure what we'll be able to get in Abu Dhabi) before boarding the flight. When we checked in in line we couldn't get seats together, but the guy at the bag drop sorted it for ...

... substantial but actually turns out to be a tiny village pub. Conversation stops dead as we walk in and I can't help but be reminded of the opening scenes of "An American Werewolf in London". Unfortunately the internet runs slow out here and they haven't noticed our online booking, which to be fair, was only made a few hours ago whilst in the den of the Scientologists. Luckily they still have the two rooms free (the third room is taken) but they're not made up, so the ...
