... He seemed to know also exactly where the birds would be and took us to a white Heron who fishing on one of the little islands and to a blue Heron who patiently posed for us while we took photos. They must be used to tourists and were not perturbed by us clicking away. Ashore we spotted an iguana and lots of little crabs making their way out of the mangrove. ... managed to find Mercantil, and tried to find our way back to meet the hostel owner, the interesting (and a bit crazy) sounding 'Captain'. I got us quite lost, though, and by the time we got back to the meeting point, the Captain had been and gone.
