Back home we are now. I have to admit, this was the first trip where when I got home, I actually felt like saying "home sweet home"! ... yet to be caught in the rain. I quickly foraged a home the forest nearby and ate some mix before dosing off. Multiple times that night I was awoken by fierce winds and the rain pounded my tent all night. It was pretty horrific outside, pretty chilled inside. By the time I decided to get up in the morning it was blazing sun and warm n' fuzzy! I made some oatmeal with tea and let the tent dry out a bit. Back on the road back into the madness.

Anyway as Im walking away Shane was signing other things but I turned and was like, "you were really great! :)" and he stops what he was doing and looks at me and says "Thank you so much! and thanks so much for coming out tonight!" and then we just smiled at eachother for like 4 seconds. ... kam ich zum Schluss: Besser in der Zivilisation als im Busch. In den unendlichen Tiefen meiner Ortlieb Taschen fand sich doch tatsaechlich ein Ersatzreifen. So schnell wie ich gedacht hatte gings dann aber doch nicht. Das Schutzblech sollte gemaess Radverkaeufer auch fuer Mountainbike Reifen eingestellt sein. Sollte! Man hat natuerlich ein paar Ersatzteile dabei, kuerzere Schrauben, Unterlagsscheiben, etc. etc. und so konnte das Unterfangen erfolgreich beendet werden.
