... shocked to find he had the largest testicles ever seen on a moggie! Very disturbing indeed!!!!
But the next day brought a new dawn in our travels, this was to be our first night of couch-surfing. For those of you in the dark on this concept I will try to explain it simply, basically there is an online community of people who are offering their couch/sofa to weary travelers or just agree to meet them and ...
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada swissbear... to finally feel better Jon caught my nasty virus. He seems to be showing symptoms much quicker than I did so I hope that it runs through him much quicker than it has through me. The good thing though is that I'm feeling better and can drive now that he's sick so he can rest. We drove the whole day through torrential downpour and thunderstorms. Jon got us over the Canadian Rockies while I took ...
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada kwronaSo we continued on to Medicine Hat, where Roxanne's mother lived. For whatever reason, one I obviously can't remember, I have always called her Mrs. Kay. We spent a lot of time there, visiting water slides and other things. And then we took off once more.

Sounds exciting - the system produces "Sun equivalent" light without discharging heat that current incandescent and fluorescent emit. Visited with Tony, Heidi and the grandkids (Quinn & Blaine) in Ponoka. They bought a new house and this is the first time we've had the opportunity to stop by for a look-see. Went to Medicine Hat for the Sept long weekend. Parked at ...

The bugs were not too bad, it was the hoards of flies that feasted on their remains that were the nuisance - they must have been able to fly well in excess of 100km per hour, because every time we stopped, there they were! Another Tim Horton's before setting off West again, passing by BATUS, the British Army Training Centre, just outside Medicine Hat. Lunch was spent in a ...

As you know - we have yet to see a Moose, but today we did see a herd (well three) Antelope - which prompted us to spend the next hour singing 'Home Home on the Range, where the Deer and the Antelope play ......' Again, the Prairie was a source of inerest, peppered with ...

They are off to Alaska so we gave them plenty of tips for their journey. Left Wayne and started making our way down to Medicine Hat to spend the night. Once again a huge water slide in the hotel - a little too exposed for us to subject our bodies to the rooms overlooking the pool area!
Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada judencharlie... drawn to talk with two people. As happens with travelers, she asked where they lived. When they told her, she dropped her jaw, they lived in the same small town her father lived in. "Do you know Ivan?" she asked. "Yes," they answered with tears in their eyes. "We miss him." "I'm his daughter," Monique told them. "We've heard about you," they said smiling. "And we have stories about your father!" Monique and her girls drove off to the next ...

I guess what makes Medicine Hat unique is that they apparently have a really large supply of underground natural gas and even Rudyard Kipling commented on it "This part of the country seems to have all hell for a basement, and the only trap door appears to be in Medicine Hat". Anyways onto the prairie's.......
