This hotel is a 2 minute walk from the sea, restaurants, shops and Canada Place. The room is big, quiet with very comfy beds with a nice view of the water and mountains with windows spanning the whole length of the wall.

After a 9 hour flight we have arrived in Vancouver. We didn't have any sleep on the plane but managed to stay awake until after 6pm. We booked a whale watching tour for when we come back from the cruise. Tourist information near Canada Place was very helpful! We'd forgotten our binoculars, went to buy some cheap ones nearby.

... there was another new feature, self-checking for those with

ESTA visa waivers. Sounds simple, but the first machine wouldn't scan Murray's passport, the second machine we were directed to wasn't much better, and it took forever to scan the passport, centre up the image for a photo, and square up the fingers to get the fingerprints in the right place. Then when Murray was through, the second person on the list had to do the same. We got receipts from the ...

... In the end I chose one which I liked best, nice Canadian colours too, red and white! I went to pay and always forget about the tax being added on, which added around $2.50 extra. But I was happy with my purchase.

After walking around for a while, we headed off back to the house as it was almost tea time. It was lovely being in an actual 'home' though, rather than hostels, as we can cook our own meals and just chill when we want too. We cut the food up for our ...
