      First stop on the way to Tofino was Duncan, small town with a lot of totem poles and the worlds biggest hockey stick. Thats about it. Next was Coombs for the old country market - which has goats on the roof. That was the main highlight, well that and the ice-cream.       ... Centre but GPS did not have all these main attractions stored, and neither are BC's road signs for these very good at all. In then end, headed straight for hotel in Victoria. After a swim, walked downtown for dinner, being sidetracked by street performers, horse carts, flowers and gardens, and lots of tourists thronging about (all seemingly from warmer climes, as wearing jackets unlike us).

      ... the end is to focus on one step at a time and take your time.

      At the start of our hike there were 13 people evacuated since May 1st and by the time we finished that number was up to 18. Having finished the hike I can easily understand why people get evacuated. If it isn’t from an injury from falling it would most likely be from hypothermia.
