    ... lol) and took off. I'm so glad we did because it was well worth it. Very impressive!! Once we were done we drove back to Langford for lunch (Nandos) and to grab a few supplies, then checked in at Goldstream Provincial Park for one night. There are 173 campsites there but most of the park is still blocked off so it's not too busy. It continued to rain all night so we had a quiet night in working on the blog.

    ... beer stop and then got into the campground at Tofino. Dumped the stuff and briefly visited a nearby beach - very nice, tried having a paddle but after a few seconds couldn't feel my feet any more.     Moving on to the latter days, days 6 and 7 were definitely the toughest. At the end of each day everyone who came into camp was just exhausted. You would be climbing over roots, slogging thru mud pits and water holes for hours on end. The average pace is about 1 km per hour. That is pretty well how the last 23k went.
