Went back into Death Valley again this morning. Walked two of trails that are suggested to be done before ten in the morning. Finished the last one at 9:50 and it was stating to get uncomfortable. I think it was showing 45 on the dashboard temperature gauge. Had an interesting drive to Bakersfield where we will stayed the night. Left LA and of course Terry had a head wind but I don't think as strong as they expect later and the next few days.

We took I-5 north out of town and at one point we didn't realize we were on the top layer as there were 3 levels below us. Came upon a sign....gusty winds next 56 miles....really??
