Went back into Death Valley again this morning. Walked two of trails that are suggested to be done before ten in the morning. Finished the last one at 9:50 and it was stating to get uncomfortable. I think it was showing 45 on the dashboard temperature gauge. Had an interesting drive to Bakersfield where we will stayed the night. campground with trees and grass and concrete pads to sit on.

We found out this area is one of the largest agricultural areas in the world. They produce 90% of CA carrots and the baby carrots were developed here. Frito has a chip plant here and they use local potatoes. They also have a large citrus and nut crops.

We drove around town, went by Buck Owens Crystal Palace but the Museum portion was not ...
