Welcome to my travelling blog. If anyone is at all interested this can be a quick and easy way to update lots of different people all at once so enjoy if you fancy some bedtime reading! So I've had my last weekend at home. It's been emotional of course ;) and I'm starting to really realise the big trip is fast approaching. About time! I've had my first practise pack...it was beneficial I promise...and I'm considering doing another JUST to check ...

So after an extremely stressful day of packing / attempting to pack because I lost my iPod for 3 hours, I think I'm finally there ! Extremely excited to be heading off on an incredible adventure with miss Giacomini tomorrow ! Will miss you all like crazy but promise to be back safely in only a years time !! Love to all and hope this works so that I can keep you all updated with our travels and experiences. Big lovin libs ...

... towards the far end, where most of the gulls were congregating, Julie was looking at some of the closer birds. She mentioned an odd looking gull with a bright yellow tip to the bill and asked me to have a look through the ‘scope. I turned to look where she was looking and as I established the right area I asked her "That one?" pointing at a gull that was just flying past us. “That will be it.” she replied. tribes people like the Rendille in Marsabit & the Samburu (cousins of the Maasai) still wear very distinctive and often
elaborate dress.

As we cross into Ethiopia - many of the roads we travel on are very poor dirt or gravel roads and often in mountainous areas,
so travel is slow. Ethiopia has a lot more visual & indigenous history than any other sub - Saharan country.
