The drive to Chicago took a lot longer than expected, and considering that we had 4 hours sleep going between the both of us, I think we did rather well. The staff at the hotel recommended Giordano's, and I was definitely glad they did. It was completely different from any type of pizza I had ever had before. Besides only being able to enjoy one …
Because we were in bed by 10pm, we were up by 7am. We got up, got dressed and went to go find breakfast. We had breakfast at a dinner called the Pittsfield Cafe. It was really good - tough to find, but really good. It was in the lobby of an old building, called the Pittsfield.
Then we headed back to the hotel to pick up the camera. Then we walked to Navy Pier taking pictures along the way. At Navy ...

We stopped in at pet store Barker and Meowsky where we spent some time feeling incredulous that people purchase such items - our favourite today was the little bumblebee outfit that a small dog could be decked out in for Halloween. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. I liked this hotel and the price was fair, especially considering that we had a dog. Lots of parking and very accommodating of our SUV and trailer combination. Late check out was granted without extra fee, enjoyed my stay here.
