The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. I liked this hotel and the price was fair, especially considering that we had a dog. Lots of parking and very accommodating of our SUV and trailer combination. Late check out was granted without extra fee, enjoyed my stay here.

We tried to get round it and probably went the long way round and managed to get tangled up in the fans going to a Chicago Bears game. Finally we reached the shore and walked back along the shoreline, round the festival, and back to the station. We grabbed a bite to eat on the way and now we await our next ...

    ... at 70! Wow!

Walked to brand name stores along Magnificent Mile which is concurrent with the Chicago River.
The water in the river is green and stunning.

Went to "Eataly!" for dessert which has all things Italian - Donna eat your heart out!. The store was buzzing.

Alas, the Spring in most of the States in the USA has not sprung as it has been cold and wet many a times.

Unfortunately, Publican was also closed - we suspect yesterday's public holiday may have seen these restaurants open on a usually-closed Monday, and shut today instead. Plan C was put into place - dinner at Max and Sarah's apartment, and the celebrations at Avec to take place on Thursday night instead, a fitting entree to our weekend trip to San Francisco.
