Well what a day we have had.. I'm certainly no Elvis fan but my god, what an experience and what a man and a waste of a good life.. There was lots of things I didn't know about him such as the money he donated for the memorial for the soldiers at Pearl Harbour in Honolulu.. Wow..

Dead at 42. What a waste!!

We we met another young girl from Australia (Adelaide) who was travelling on her own so she spent some time with us today, had lunch ...

... tapping. Wish we could have danced but weren't allowed.

We got dropped off at Broadway and went to Coyote Ugly. That place is one of the sleaziest I have seen in a long time and we got the hell out quicker than we got in.

We went searching for some music but Tuesday nights are quiet in Nashville. Another lesson learned. Got the last shuttle for the night back to the hotel.

Sunday, May 18th, Tony and I decided to take a stroll around Fisk University. The Grandeur of the buildings lured me to the campus. So, it was about 10am the grounds seemed so empty but lush and flowing like a park. We parked the car and started walking around the large campus enjoying the buildings and the many historical markers explaining the history in the vast, but old college.

... but I ignored it WMD off it went..

Shows you how big the crowd was.

The event hosts were very helpful and they even let you out for a smoke on a balcony....

The auditorium was once the premier venue in Nashville and from 1964 has hosted Otis Redding, David Bowie, Led Zep and many more. Its looking its age now

Good night, all in and I am...... Blog to do then land of nod.....

We got into Nashville early enough in the day that we decided to stop in and see if a mechanic was available to evaluate the damage now. No one was available, but we met Cody in person. We’ll keep the appointment on Monday morning and relax for the ...

    A Nice Place to Stay

    from

The Clubhouse Inn was a nice place to stay while visiting Nashville. Minutes from attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and employees were nice. Slight problems with special room accommodations that were worked out with little hassle. The outdoor pool was nice and clean. The continental breakfast was a plus. The employee handling the breakfast was very kind. She always greeted us with her friendly smile, said good morning, and asked if we had a good night. Cleaning staff were very nice. The lady who cleaned our rooms even folded my nephew's blankie. How sweet and thoughtful. We will definitely stay here again.

    Awesome!!!

    from

We stayed at the Clubhouse Inn while In Nashville visiting my son's college. It was very affordable and clean. The deluxe continental breakfast will rival any from a restaurant! I will definitely stay there when I travel to Nashville in the future.

    Excellent hotel

    from

i stayed at the clubhouse inn in june with a party of friends from ireland. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.it was our first trip to nashville and the staff at this inn were friendly, helpful and very courteous. the rooms were clean and comfortable and we were fortunate to be allocated a ground floor room next to the pool. i can honestly say it was beautiful!

I would hope that I will return to nashville some day and would definately stay at this inn.

    It was great

I took my daughter and two younger children 8 and 9 yrs old. They all throughly enjoyed the stay. The employees and staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean. The children really enjoyed the Hottub it was really nice. We will definately stay again.

    Loved the Clubhouse

    from

We stayed at the Clubhouse in the middle of May 2004 and had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and courteous. We paid $85/night for a huge 2-room suite with a full hot breakfast each day. It rained for our stay so we couldn't try the pool but it was clean and well-maintained.

We would definitely stay there again.

If you stay, get a suite!

    Good value and comfort

    from

Stayed there last weekend and found rooms to be clean and comfortable.

The hot breakfast, included with the room, is really very good and a real plus when you have a couple of hungry kids. Only minor drawback was trying to get extra pillows from the front desk. The pillows that they provide don't give allot of support, at least not for me. When we asked for extra pillows they could only come up with one, and the wife got that.

    Great Place

    from

My husband and I brought 2 of our grandchildren there this summer and found to be a great family place. The room was superior and large. The pool and hot tub were very clean. I would recommend this motel to anyone with children. Everyone was quite nice to us.

    DOUBLE AEWSOME!!!

    from

The only place where my girlfirend and I will stay when we're in NashVegas! Friendly stay, spacious rooms and a great breakfast bar!

    Nice hotel

    from

We stayed at this hotel for one night while driving through Nashville.

The rate was quite low for a last minute booking and it was worth the money. The "manager's reception" was nothing to get excited about but the breakfast was wonderful. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, etc.,etc., all included in the rate! The rooms were large and very clean and the staff was friendly. The only complaint we had was the pool doesn't open until 10:00am and check-out is 11:00am. As it turned out, the kids didn't get to swim anyway because the pool had had chemicals added that morning and it wasn't going to be opened until late in the day. They did offer to call the Doubletree across the street to let the kids swim which I felt was a reasonable and helpful solution. I would probably stay here again but I do consider the pool situation a draw-back.

    Awesome

We recently stayed at the Clubhouse Inn. It was one of the best places we stayed. Very clean, employees were friendly but not fake. The place was in tip top shape. The price was unbelieveably low. I will definately stay there again. Pool and hottub were both fantistic.
