Acapulco and the corruption

... pesos for a double room that stank like **** and was on the main road so it was really noisy. We were tired and exasperated and had to walk up the road to park the car securely, on the way back we brought some beers to help ease the pain of the whole drive and the corruption we had endured. We spent the rest of our evening drinking beers and shots of Pox; a seriously strong liqueur from Chapias that James had given Kike. We were drinking shots out of a deodorant lid and ...

Acapulco, Mexico

It is also still picking up the pieces ...

Great, looks like another week of crowded destinations. At least the drive to Acapulco was smooth, wide and vacant of traffic....until I was within 30 miles. Flat, wide open, mostly barren terrain with a mountainous horizon suddenly burst into a thriving city-scape, which went up ...

Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Today we spent the day sailing down the coast of Mexico. From our map, we are off the coast of Acapulco. No port stops today as we are heading to Guatamala, which takes two nights and two days sailing to arrive. The waters are very calm and the sailing very smooth. We are both very relaxed and Johnny is enjoying the variety of foods on board.
