... Maybe the food is repetitive, maybe there is only entertainment every other night but overall this holiday was the best holiday me and my girlfriend have ever been on. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the one thing i dont recommend is flying with thomas cook... So please dont be put off by the bad reviews all the snobs have wrote because the holiday is what you make it and the hotel helped us make this holiday fantastic!

... now on. In other news, I went bowling tonight with about 25 people from the ASI. Here's a picture of my lane. It was exactly the same as American bowling, and all the scoring systems and balls were in English. So I had a blast because bowling rocks. Also, my second talk is tomorrow. I feel pretty good about it, especially considering that I put it together in my free time here. More on that tomorrow night. It's off to bed now.

What a wonderful little peninsula on the Mediterranean. This town has it all. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops, but also beaches and lots of ruins. Our room at the Hotel Lale Park was a little small, but we had a great time here.

... among other things. Tonight we met a family who has two special needs children and one normal child. Their response to this challenge has been to become actively engaged in helping to set up 3 special needs schools in the Anatolia region. They are also, through their travel agency which arranges tours for tourists, working on a program to provide special needs children with travel tours- not make any money doing it. Well first time at Club Med.. great location; fab room, very luxurious... the whole happy campers atmosphere though.... not really me... but i recommend the med coast of turkey... 300 days of sun per year... and you can windsurf; sail; go horse riding in the mountains; waterski; parasail,etc...

... Roman ruins and an equally large amount of touristy shops and restaurants. I didn't care much for the commercialism (although the bellydance outfits were a little bit better quality) but the ruins were awesome, and the only part I saw that charged admission (the Roman Theater) was 5 Turkish Lira. That's less than 4 dollars/3 Euros/2 Pounds. Compare that with 11 Euros a head to get into the ruins in Rome!

... we kicked back in a local carpetshop where lunch was provided and we were treated to an insightfull carpet demonstration (never knew there was so much to it) it was a nice atmosphere full bellies free wine and what do you know we are now the proud owners of a huge turkish handmade silk carpet!(So much for our budget) Later that arvo we went to the temple of st. john and to one of the 7 ...
