... like the middle of nowhere. As it turns out if you take the direct route it's only a 10 minute drive to Lake Garda. So armed with 2 maps from the delightful Moreno we headed to Milralago for a lovely dinner with fantastic views. From the restaurant Jago spotted 2 football pitches, AC Garda. ... idea at some point, the area was covered in poo and smelt. I was not happy so we trudged back uphill to another ski lift only to find the same. At this point I was getting a bit grumpy. Luckily the rain stopped so we found a poo free spot and had lunch.

We retraced our steps downhill with the rain following us and it has rained on and off since we got back – no change there. We leave tomorrow to head further north and to more mountains.

loop when the weather turned very stormy. The thunder and lightning got closer
and closer, the heavens opened and the wind whipped up. We hurried back to the

... to upgrade our hire car to a Classic Italian Alfa Romeo Giuletta ( or similar) was a complete wast of time and we ended up with a citroen C3 Picasso. Not at all similar !! I will be taking this up with the hire company on our return. Other than that it has been a fantastic ten days which as Kate keeps on reminding me was all booked by her.... Except the car hire! At least I tried.. So until next time it's Arrivederci from Audrey & tony. Ciao for now and enjoy the last few pictures ...

... by the Greeks from 600 bc.It occupies a hillside and much of a large valley. It was too much walking for me to do the whole thing so I sat on the hill top in the shade of an olive tree where I could view the entire Greek city laid out. It was stunning.
On our final day we drove back to the airport but we had sufficient time to have a look at the Greek Tempe at Syracuse..These were built around 600 bc when the Greeks conquered Sicily ...
