... I wasn't that keen to go inside a grotto. But in we went, all ohhhing and ahhing. It was pretty spectacular inside, a cave inside a cave. Expected to see Johnny Depp or his dad, sorely disappointed on that score. It is very "piratey" around these parts and apparently there is a strong, and long, history of piracy in the region. ... what they were eating, what did it sound like??? We had plenty of space to wander around and be amazed by this place, only a few other people there and no tour groups. From there we drove on only short distance to the ferry terminal. What a beautiful place. The harbour is a quite narrow entrance between great rocky granite cliffs. We LOVE Sardinia. It is a very beautiful place, the coastline and beaches are fabulous.
