      ... Winnipeg. The timbered forests made way for prairies covered with wheat, corn peas and other unidentifiable crops. There are lots of lakes around and lots of water just hanging around as the area has just come through some floods. It is too damp to harvest a lot of the crops. The flatness then turned into undulating hills which we are still going through. The land looks so good with rich soils. We have gone past two potash mines which are a big scare on the landscape. ...

      The boys started early this morning with a visit to the Macdon factory while Cally and I caught up on the washing and packed our winter stuff up to send home so we have room in our bags for American goodies!!!!!!! This afternoon we had a bit of a look around winnipeg, 2 rivers join up here and are flooding so there is a **** load of water. We are now ready to move on to the states!!!       ... hasn't mastered any feminine gestures or walking style yet. I keep well clear of this weird little trio from Oregon.

      Ya, you read that right. I cannot believe I'm actually going to say this, but I wasn't even looking forward to this trip. Now you just want to smack me don't you? I know it! :). Between stresses at work, lack of time at home, and R and I pulled in many different directions....this trip was all in bad timing...or was it! LOL I'm a worry wart, a perfectionist and a planner....and that doesn't bode well for a trip that came too fast and so little time ...
