On our second day we headed in early to Diagon alley again to ride Gringotts ride and check out the shops a bit more. We fuelled our day with a giant warm cinnamon bun from Cinnabon. What blew us away was the experience of walking through Fantasyland during the fireworks. We were surrounded by the, well, let's call them firework canons. Talk about shock and awe. The fireworks lit up directly over our heads and in rounds encircling the area through which we strolled. The experience is hard to describe - we were gobsmacked - we just kept looking at each other ...
... to reiterate - it is hot. Flaming hot. Any more humidity in the air and you would have to swim to get anywhere. Not the ideal conditions for doing anything that does not involve being in a pool or an air-conditioned room. Fortunately, we managed to find just enough of these ingredients to survive the day. (Labour (Labor) Day weekend to boot!).

We went back to Hollywood Studios for tea and got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Chip'n Dale all dressed up as Disney characters. Luke and I had to dress up as Jedi and go up on stage to fight Darth Vader and the storm troopers.
