When we arrived in Tamsweg, the snowflakes were about the size of my fist... we were worried we were going to get snowed in but luckily the snow had stopped by the evening.

... was really nice seeing them again - it is their last few days in Austria so it was good to see them before they went back to England.

We went for a couple of games of bowling before we left and said our final goodbyes to the Virtual Heroes lot!

THEN we were off on a 3.5 hour journey up to Linz! (after refuelling with a McDonalds of course!)

... the "best burger ever".... biggest disappointment EVER! It looked like what you would get out of a burger van after a night out.  But we had a great night playing cards (called Social Order {I think}). After 2 days of great shows in Klagenfurt, we were on our way to Villach!  We took a detour to an observation tower but because the weather, it was closed! It looked so much fun - there was a slide to get down from the top! Like a giant Helter ...

... br> We said farewell to Marco and Christina and carried on our way. Shortly after we left their place we found a grocery store and sat out in front of the store and ate our lunch.

We didn't have to ask for directions much today and we arrived at 4:20 in Spilimbergo. The sky had mostly cleared and the temperature was warm, so we had a very enjoyable evening in the old part of the city.

... way told us that after the Italian border there is a very steep hill, so we decided that maybe it would be better to go on the highway for a few kilometres and get back on the trail later.

We were getting near the Italian border and about to get on the highway, but Pam and I thought it wasn't a good idea to go on the highway given how hard it was raining and the busy traffic. Everyone agreed and we stayed on the trail.
