      As seen as it was nearly my birthday, Scott decided to check me into the Ramada Beach Resort in Varca for a bit of luxury. It certainly was that, it even had a bath and hair dryer, it was heavenly.       ... to snuff. In most cases, your guide can remedy the situation. Tours generate a lot of revenue for hotels and restaurants, as they are used again and again by the tour operator, so they have a vested interest in your satisfaction. It's okay to speak up, but pick your battles wisely, don't be a whiner and don't get too attached to the outcome. Not all your experiences can be amazing and the worst often make the best stories later on!

      ... we begin the actual volunteering. We both locked in the woman's outreach project and the slum. We haven't got heaps of ideas yet however, a few people suggested getting the girls in the outreach project to learn a modern pop song or teach us how to tie a sari.
