Okay, so we indulged ourselves and have been staying at Club Mahindra, a 5 star resort, here, on Varca Beach, Goa, about a 45 minute cab ride from the airport. There were no direct flights from Kochi to Goa, so David and I had to transfer through Chennai. If you take a look at a map of India, you will see that Chennai is nowhere …

As seen as it was nearly my birthday, Scott decided to check me into the Ramada Beach Resort in Varca for a bit of luxury. It certainly was that, it even had a bath and hair dryer, it was heavenly. ... no thankyou'. A huge wave crashes as I paddle on and I am soaked. No matter, the sun is so hot I am dry within ten minutes. There are no posh hotels here, only beach shacks some of which claim to be luxury accommodation. We conclude that some plywood must be more luxurious than other varieties. Actually many of the walls look like they are made from old packing cases to us. I can see the appeal of waking up and seeing ...

The resort that we are staying in is called the Zuri White Sands. In the room that we are staying in is facing the humongous swimming pool. At the moment I haven't got to swim in it, but I am thoroughly looking forward to it. The temperature in Goa is really hot, even when it is dark. I think it is about ...
