When we had our fill of castles and ruins, we took a hike down the Chasm of Heaven, an underground cavern where Zeus allegedly captured the hundred headed monster Typhon. Nearby is the cave gorge, named the Pit of Hell, where Zeus imprisoned the monster.

... have wandered through some in "the bush" down a back road. No signs, no control, nothing. WE guessed they were at least 1000 years old but probably late Roman.
