... Grotto di Nettuno (Caves up Neptune) After descending 652 steps we ended up at these caves and took the tour, seeing incredible Stalagmites and Stalactites formed by dripping fresh water from above and depositing calcium carbonates to form incredible columns in this massive cave.
After the last evening spent having gelato and watching the sunset, we hopped on the Ryanair flight back home and were left craving just one more plate of pasta or pizza of Alghero!

... lunch and to see if the kids missed us. Saw 2 small turtles walking about in the front of someones yard which was sweet.
An afternoon spa then relaxing ready for our 5 course dinner. Kids rushed through dinner as keen to get back to their social life. Gave them until 10.45pm to come home as us old parents are tired. Al and I headed to theatre to watch Pirates show which was really good.

As an italian american and a lover of the 1979 movie the Black Stallion it was an obvious choice that I was drawn to the italian island of Sardinia for my final excursion before heading back to alaska. That and the fact that my lady booked and planned the whole trip out.

... the parking lot was amazingly close so that was super and it's like pulling into a car rental place. You stop and get your luggage and go inside to give them your keys, get a receipt, and there was the bus to take us to the terminal. terrific. then checking with Easy Jet which didn't take long and for once we weren't even close to the allotted weights on our luggage Of course I had paid for one bag each as we were hauling ...
