She squirted me with antiseptic, on both the tick and cat bites, and gave me an antibiotic cream to rub on three times a day. ... which disregarding some measure of tourism development was such a lovely sandy cove with inviting looking waters. We ate ice-creams at a cafe overlooking the beach and so our day drew to an end.

It was later, settling into bed, that I spotted something black on my leg, small and round, and pulling it off which was quite tough to do I discovered it to be a wriggling little tick. Hopefully it hadn't been in there long.
