I was really overdue my holidays, finally getting to take it in October and I just signed up to two weeks of not doing much in Turkey with a couple of friends in a group. For me though not doing much isn't my cup of tea so I took every chance to re-live my old Turkey memories, from food, sights, sea, dancing and ahem, yes the men, again :)
Please come back soon as I update all the stories from the two weeks. Thanks.
... a bloody nightmare. Carrying heavy bags through the docks till we reached our ferry was a tad painful given our various ailments. However we settled into our 'couchettes’ and had an agreeable journey.
However, on our arrival at the yard at 03.15, despite our instructions to the yard, the boat was securely locked and the office well closed. Luckily Bob, the yard manager, woke up and after trying bolt cutters and hacksaw, eventually cut the ...

Das Wasser ist angenehm temperiert und es gibt keine kostenpflichtigen Schirme und Sonnenliegen.

But nothing could beat the experience of a boat ride around the Turkish coastline.
A small group - us - paid the crew of a nice boat to take us out for a day. The water was amazingly blue, clean and the bottom of the ocean seemed so close. We threw anchor. While we jumped into the big blue, the crew brought out fishing gear, caught ...
