... diverse range of styles; blending rap, metal, funk, jazz, salsa, reggae and world music with politically conscious lyrics in both English and Spanish. They were a really tight band and even included a cover of Amy Winehouse's "You Know That I'm No Good" in what was one of the best live performances I've seen in a long time.
We're now in the last week of term, so on Saturday I'll be flying to Cancun to spend two weeks exploring the Yucatan Peninsula. Hasta luego cabrones!

... If only I had arrived earlier. I answer several more, sip my diet coke and then the excitement is over. Time to head down to the cabin for my meet up with Mikie.
He goes to walk the Promenade and I beg off deciding to read my book instead. About fourty minutes later there is an announcement over the P.A..

Finally, the reward for living through all of the storm. A beautiful morning - and finally feeling better.
Got off the Ship briefly before we left (total of 20 minutes) to take a few pictures.
Back onboard by 1pm.
At 4pm Classic Disco T-dance (delayed due to our extended stay in PV).
Arrived in Puerto Vallarta - safe and sound. Rained most of the day. I stayed in bed most fo the day trying to kick the flu.
By nightfall it was a beautiful sunset under clearer skies.
But Mazatlan was closed due to weather - and thus we stayed for another day in PV.
... the local bus from behind the hotel. We were told it goes very close to downtown and it would be obivous where to get off. Apparently not obvious enough. We went on for another mile or so before we realised, so we got off and jumped in a cab. Taking the cab wasn't a bad idea as he was able to take us to one of the museum via the other sites we wanted to see. This oriented us for the day. The first museum was the art gallery of Manuel ...

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico creativejourney... were submerged in 5 feet of water. Not a pleasant experience for 'non-swimmer Geraldine'. Now that we were all drenched from head to toe it was time for the 'dryer' (another zip line that was meant to dry you off). No-one in the group actually dried off, so it was on to Plan B....walk and dry yourself back to home base. On the way we were treated to a rope crossing. We had to cross a stream on a rope with only a second rope to ...
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico mikeandger... an hour north of NV by car. Rincon de Guayabitos was a typical Mexican resort town, with many hotels and bungalows bordering on a curved sandy beach. It is popular with Canadian and Mexican tourists. We stayed with 23 other family members in individual bungalows at Las Haciendas, right on the beach. It was really great to see all my cousins and their families, Peter and Allie, Patsy, Mum, Russ and of course, Do, Darrin, Liam and Finley. Kate and Chris had a ball ...
La Cruz, Mexico arcticwillow... outside villages and got to walk around a little. Guests from the ship could lay out on the beach using the towels, chairs and could also use the amazing pool at one of the beautiful resort hotels, NH Krystal. We had a great time. There was a swim up bar, waterfalls, columns and bridges. We hated to have to get back on the ship. We had to board by 5:30 pm.
