We enjoyed lazing about at Ko Lanta so much we're doing it again. We're at Coconut Village Resort at Patong Beach Resort. There isn't really anywhere on Phuket to park the van and it's nice to have a couple of days out of the van. It's very nice overlooking the pool from our balcony with the aircon blasting behind us.

... just came up to me and was begging me to let him take me on a date. I politely said no, but he kept trying for awhile. We left the beach in the afternoon and went to get street food. I wasn't hungry but I was very thirsty and ended up trying gac juice, which is made from the gac fruit. Strange looking fruit, but pretty good. Tasted like really sweet fruit punch.

We we got back showered and then just went down to our hostels lobby area. ...

"He is Muslim like us" He was bowled over ( no deliberate joke here) when I told him that I'd cycled the Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to Kashghar. His friend said that he was from Abbotabad where Bin Laden was killed by the Americans. It was on our cycle route and we'd spent a night there where we'd met "The murderer"He asked if I knew about the Taliban ...

      ... Grandmas..)

The city also has a fun night life. As with all of Thailand, plenty of LadyBoys, for those who had the curiosity and bravery for "something different."
Grandma - don't bother googling that one.
But there was always something to do when the sun went down. Hint: Some serious dancing was usually involved.

Who really wants to hear me talk about beaches when you can look at them instead - check out the pictures!
