Accion de Gracias

... was when I called my grandparents in Florida. They were hosting my uncle, cousins, and Melanie and that my grandma had to get off the phone so she could put the turkey in the oven. For a moment I felt like I was there with them. Other than that it is sad missing out on such a great day but I took it pretty well. I am enjoying Spain too much to be all that sad. It was fun talking to my grandma. She told me that she saw my belly ...

Tonight

A couple of days ago I was talking with a friend of mine who is from England but is living in Malaga now. He told me that one time in a restaurant the waiter asked how the meal was and he told the waiter that it wasn't that good. He told me that normally the British will just sit there with an unhappy look on their face and never say anything. He got the meal for free. Today I met two really cool people from Seville, Alejandro (Alex) and ...

Hung over again

... selling sea food and having bbqs on the beach. The weather is amazing cant believe that its still around the 25 degrees mark at this time of year.

We walked for a while and then worked our way back to the hotel where Ian went and lay by the pool for a little while reading his book while I had a little sleep. Its only a few days now until we come home and I am excited although I want to keep on travelling around. We got ready ...

Too Funny

... the ferry over to Algeciras it only took an hour and half and then we where in spain, I felt a huge weight lift as now we can relax a little. In morroco you are always on edge always watching and not trusting people that it makes you a little crazy. So we went and got our bus tickets and we waited in a little bus station cafe and had our first taste of Spanish food. Ian had some paella and I had some meatballs ...

Sunrise over the Med

... to spark and caught on fire, nothing that needed the assistance of the local fire department however. i like to cook, he likes my cooking and he does the dishes so it works.

cooking in a kitchen without an oven is interesting, it takes some planning to think about what can easily be made. we brought a few items with us from london like spices and wheatabix (similar to shredded wheat, you eat it with hot milk) for our brekkie, i like to make spanish tortilla ...

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... whole different world. Everything is in Arabic and French, there´s hardly any english around (you should see the Coca Cola bottles). After a quick town overview, we stepped off the tour bus and into Morocco, and of course, the rain. We were quickly hustled towards the Kasbah while Moroccan street vendors tailed our group selling all kinds of umbrellas. Fortunately we brought our own, but that still didn´t stop some of the vendors from trying to sell us another. After a quick look ...

Where the Bullfight Was Born

... I saw a bullfight my first week here and it really wasn't my cup of tea, but it was interesting to be where all the action takes place. I then proceeded to go exploring on my own, which I actually do quite frequently. I love people but I find I really enjoy some things better when I make my own experience not surrounded by what everyone else wants to do. I started by going down into the Ronda Gorge, which literally looks like a city built on a cliff. It is just ...

Insider guide: family holidays on Costa Del Sol!

... like a 4* hotel, with spa, indoor pool, gym and a huge restaurant. The rooms are really stylish and the pool area is just as good as the Costa del Sol Holiday Village. There is also a children’s club on site and Fred loved the cute little play area and pool. Surrounding Area There’s a huge amount to do in the area but you ...

Malaga City Tour

... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.
