    ... We did try the local drinks here though, run with sugar on the rocks with weirdly shaped glasses. If you took a glass and rotated the part that holds the fluid about 30degrees you would be close to the glass that we were using.

    ... trip!

    We easily spent a few hours in the Deshaies Botanical Gardens. With over 1000 species of plants and trees, there was plenty to enjoy along the almost 2 kilometres of pathways. The tropical parrots particularly liked Dad. Dad was unimpressed to discover, however, that they were none other than Lorikeets from Australia! Yep, we travelled 21 000 kilometres to hang out with some local Aussies!

    I think it is very special that we have come to Guadeloupe for our holiday. I call Abigail "my little butterfly" and Guadeloupe is referred to as the butterfly island due to the fact that the shape of the main island is like a butterfly. Yes, Guadeloupe is Abigail's special island.
