Varenna (Lake Como): Taxi Boat Lecco & Varenna: For 25 euros a person we took a private one hour boat tour of a lot of Lake Como. It included Prosecco, olives, pizza, and pistachios. Luca, the driver, was excellent and the boat tour gave us a good introduction to the lake. Great way to start a Lake Como vacation! Bolonga: Emilian Land Tour: ...

... within easy reach of the Cinqo Terra walk I want to do. Venice I've also been looking forward to. It's frustrating not having wi-fi at the hostel to check room prices and availability, which will have some bearing on my eventual decision. I notice it's pouring rain outside and am glad to be indoors. A bit of map-examining later, I hear a crack of thunder - I look up to see a double rainbow formed outside. A bit later there's an awesome loud roll of thunder, but ...
