... finding that as we head further south people do not speak much English. The owner was very nice and gave all of us a large dinner plate. Don't know if I will be able to carry home. ... knuckles up to see the Cristo statue above us and through the village of Maratea. The feat of building this thing where it is blows the mind and converts one's legs to jelly. I have great respect for Italian engineers - not so the kamikaze drivers.

We headed off at about 9am and drove down the main road south for an hour to the town of Palinuro. Here we waited for a boat to take us out to the caves that this area is renown for. Finally after some delays we headed out at 12:30. We went to three different caves and then ended up at a beach for a swim.

... embruns et à l'attente de la providentielle voiturette qui osera me défaire de quelques ampoules kilométriques.
Le littoral est de plus en plus beau et déchiqueté, pas de places pour construire un hotel, seuls les pêcheurs à la ligne sont présents sur ma route ...enfin c'est plutot moi qui vient vers eux, pour casser cette solitude qui me tient en désaccoeur (ord).
