Quite an interesting journey to Bentota. We stopped in Galle to see the fort, at Hidakkuwa to see the beach, at a natural moonstone mine to get talked into buying some jewellery and at a turtle hatchery. Today we take the bus back up the coast to Bentota. It takes about 3 hours and is somewhat a depressing journey; more so than the train we took down. The tsunami had a devastating effect of the west and south coast of Sri Lanka and even now more than two years later its evidence is still at large. ... Orchid garden. It was amazing!! I couldn't resist the Sushi Bar, but my sister found the idea of eating anything that raw quite revolting before long flight. But i had to satisfy my taste buds so Sushi i had! it was delicious!! Well all too soon it was time for us to board the flight to Christchurch, NZ.
