Having left Singapore at 6:40 am Tuesday morning, I arrived in Marmaris, Turkey about 11 am this morning (Wednesday) - roughly 36 hours in that travel leg, taking account of time differences. I am looking forward to bed tonight - my first night's sleep in a bed since last Sunday night. I was somewhat anxious about travelling Malaysian Airlines, but actually it was quite good - the A380 was only ...
... out, smear it on, dry, get a bracing cold shower then a freezing hose off from the stern looking attendant, and gratefully slide into the 39* sulfur pool. A leisurely get up but in time for breakfast. Then we took the 11am ferry to Tunruc, an idilic bay our rep had said. Not so much so when you come from the West Country. The boat ride was nice though. We wandered quickly through the village, lots of the same shops but no salesmen calling out to us constantly. We stopped for a beer at a waterfront cafe then caught the first taxi back to the hotel. Another nice boat ride. Back in time for lunch. I tried out the lady in ...
