    ... hear a couple of Aussie accents from girls who looked about 17 and I thought oh god here we go! Contiki is known for having young groups but I was not excited about possibly spending a week with a group of 18 year olds.     ... which was art (of which I'm not a huge fan) and then took me to the top floors of Salzburg Dom which was beautiful. On my way back I walked through the Mirabell gardens which were pretty except everything was dead, but there was a pretty greenhouse.

    If you are going to Salzburg I recommend buying the Salzburg pass, it's pretty cheap and you get to go everywhere for free after you have the card. It was a great deal to tour the city on a budget!

    ... bitte'. Big mistake. I will never make that mistake again. That's another €8 lesson learnt. 2. When in Austria, do as the Austrians do and eat apple strudel. 3. The language barrier is much easier to negotiate in Austria as most people can speak english fluently.  4. It is important to dress appropriately for the cold. A shirt and jumper will not provide sufficient warmth when walking across town at night with a slight breeze blowing. I'm sure I will learn ...

    ... I've ever seen! I am getting very good a keeping my mouth shut!

    We finally spotted Gasthof Lederer way up the hill and we were not disappointed! Right outside my window was a massive snow capped mountain with a babbling brook gushing past! Music to my ears! We unpacked , showered and went down to the restaurant for diner. The food was terriffic, the beer was cold, and the view was to die for! Our hosts gave us a "Hochkonig Card" which allowed us free ride up ...
