... We didn't need an appointment, but we also visited during low season. Cave wine Chamonix: Hotels: Les Aiglons: Great spa/ski hotel. About a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The bus stop for skiing is right across the street. Nice sized rooms and bathrooms. There's a locker room downstairs for your skis and boots and a spa and pool on the premises. Excellent staff. ... We walked 1,000 steps from the Porto to the train, back to S.Agnello where I grabbed a doppio and chatted to the cafe owner. We caught up with everyone on the terrace over lots of drinks and conversations about our homeland idiosyncrasies and enjoyed cheap pasta/pizza at Ciao Toto in the centre piazza late in the evening. ... of course I didn't want to miss out so I joined the line undeterred by the looks on the faces of the other members of my group. When I got inside I was told how a Roman would enter of an evening and basically order a prostitute to perform a sex act. ... a couple of streets, got a kebab for dinner and went back to the hotel. We were going to have an early night as we were quite tired from or big day, but while sitting up at the roof garden of the hotel using the Internet we bumped into a lovely couple from Auckland, so of course we got chatting about each others travels etc. and an early night turned into 11.30pm getting to bed.
