... settled and went ashore to have a look around. When rowing ashore, the oar on the dinghy came out and the lifeguards were too happy to lend us their tools. It was supposed to become very windy and they told us that they would help us going back to Kivu if we needed them. In the end we managed to get back on our own but they could see that I had to push on the oar as J was rowing and they came out to check if we were ok. What lovely ...

Today we got up and decided to just go into a smaller city nearby, Oristano, probably the third largest city here in Sardinia. GPS got us in not too far from the Tourist info centre which was a good start. We walked around the place all morning, very hot ,ended up sitting in tourist centre air con deciding what to do this afternoon! Well naturally we went to the beach to test out the Mediteranean. It was an extremely gusty and wind blown day, everyone at the beach had an ...

Drove from Alghero down to Cabras, through Bosa where we stopped for a coffee in the heat. They fell over backwards giving us good service and the coffee was pretty decent too!

Did I say the weather was very hot! Couldn't wait to be back in the car with air con! We took the coast road and it was very scenic, stopping along the way to take in the Mediteranean sea which looked so blue from every angle splashing against the quartz white sand.

    It was a nice ...
