    ... trying to read the bus timetable but had great difficulty. The airport was like a ghost town. There were very few people to ask for help. There wasn't an information desk open and the people I did ask for help quite frankly did not even seem like they wanted to help and couldn't talk English.     ... went to sit at our table - well the newly born italian in our midst (jeff) waved his hands arou d and made no no no sounds and they moved - they kept on giving him the evil eye.
    Disaster again - no you can't have the hire car. Luckily Brown's to the rescue - upgraded to a bigger car and off we go.
    Lovely little hotel in Bosa. 6 rooms. Unfortunately we have the two rooms on the top floor, more stairs.

    ... the Carbiniery –highway patrol. The first time we have ever needed our international drivers licenses. Very serious faces and assault riffles kept our giggles in check until we got the all clear. Much laughter in the bongo van as Guido explained that in Italy there are Irish jokes but the Irish are substituted with the Carbiniery.
