Saturday Today we left from Ballarat for our big trip to Alice Springs! Dad had to drive to Melbourne to pick up our camper van and then drive back to Ballarat so we could pack all of our things into it and get going! ... the van after a lot of percussive persuasion from the sledge hammer. What a job! It was so heavy and we had twisted the van into position, in which makes the hitch hard to pull off. Plus we were on one set of ramps as the angle was a bit funny. Still it only took 20 minutes and off it came. Yeah ha we have booked in till Tuesday and hopefully Allan's back will be better by then and more family to visit.

... leuk, als twee kinderen in een snoep winkel hebben Anne en ik goud gezocht in een beekje(ik had een mini stukje gevonden), gekeken hoe goud gesmeden werd (een blok van 150.00dollar!) hoe een paardenkar wiel vroeger werd gemaakt, hoe snoep vroeger werd gemaakt en nog veel meer van dit leuks!

... Garrett children - they were quite scared!
While we were in Ballarat we also went to the art gallery, which was excellent and we went for a run around Lake Wendouree, a favourite training run for Steve Monagehtti.
Mini-golf featured prominantly on this leg of t he journey as there was an 18 hole course at the van aprk - yey!
We also took a day trip to Hepburn Springs and we all went in the bath house ...
