Well it has been several days since there have been any posts. That's because those days have been spent in the field from 8 am until 9 pm harvesting the beans. Beans are fickle and do not like moisture so you needed to get them when they are ready and no rain. It is very tough running out in the field ...

... on the way back. No school affiliation, just sightseeing for 10 days in Rome, Florence and Venice. I am very much looking forward to wine and Italian food and not so much looking forward to seeing the scale when I arrive back in the US. But, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

I must admit It was neat out in a dark field combining with the Lunar eclipse in the sky. So today everything went fine and my truck became a true work truck. Full blown harvest is probably 2 weeks away so stay ...

Another great fall day here in Iowa and it is time to get the bike out and get back in shape. They have lots of trails around Des Moines and I will be trying out the Raccoon River trail which is over 80 miles. Needless to say I will not make anything close to that. Maybe over several days depending on the harvest. This trail is a loop, but that is still a large loop. The first thing that catches my attention is the fact ...
