    ... local Amish businesses. They are very well known for their wooden hand crafted furniture. There is also one if the largest garage door manufacturers in town which originally was started by one Amish man. We were taken by the school and told there was about 30 students across grades 1 to 8 with two teachers and a teacher aide or two. Children do not go to school after grade 8.     Happy birthday to my love and my favorite clown, John! We celebrated after the show with wine, junk food, and four episodes of "Girls". A very lovely day which would have only been lovelier if we could have spent it with friends and family back home. But everyone sent John wonderful birthday greetings throughout the entire day, so I know we weren't far from people's thoughts. :)

    ... it was off to Sarah and Marvins home for an Amish brunch and a close up look at a couple of buggies.
    Filled to overflowing we climbed back onto the bus and headed to Beachys Grocery Store...no fabric here but still worth a look at an interesting selection of food and household items.
    Next stop was a little quilt shop called Melrose Quilts & Sewforth. Not much ...

    Off to the Frank Lloyd Wright home in Oak Park (a suburb of Chicago)....he's a famous Chicago architect. A very interesting house to visit. His style was to create a room within a room and to blend the building with nature using panoramic windows to give the feel of nature flowing into the building.     ... for prescription medicine. Unlike in Australia where we go to the doctor and they prescribe us what they believe is needed, American's can go to the doctor and ask the doctor to prescribe them what they have seen on television. The funniest part is that they list all of the potential side effects of taking the medication, with the list often lasting longer than the actual advertisement itself.
