Everybody tells us the Metro is easy so how come we went through a book of 10 tickets in a day when we were supposed to have used only 4. We kept surfacing at the wrong place and a couple of times we were in queues that only went to the exit (no way to turn around and go back) and we would have to buy another ticket to re-enter the Metro again. Slowly we got the hang of it and finally got within striking distance of the Luxemburg Gardens which made the effort to ...
... in real life than I imagined it would be. We had looked into buying tickets online, but you had to select the day and time that you would visit and as we hadn't planned our daily itinerary's before leaving we decided to just buy tickets on site. There was also some pretty special art in there. As well Renior, Van Gogh, Monet, Gaugin. I would ...
... down on the coach with a cold drink contemplating dinner. Carrefours galette for me (yum) – jambon, egg and Emmental cheese of course….but amazingly, when I cut into it the egg yolk was still slightly runny (some amazing French feat of engineering surely)?
Early night – and already looking forward to a early morning walk (and breakfast from the Boulanger) in the Jardin Luxemboug tomorrow.
Mitch: Really enjoyable day ...
