... t so nice No people around, just big ship yards. We eventually found the beach and a burger king! We ended up eating there and the lovely young girl informed us it was the third largest burger king in the UK!!! She called us a cab to get back. So what we saw of Aberdeen wasn't great, am sure there are some nicer parts to it but wouldn't be in a hurry to return, The people were really nice though, had a great chat to the cab ...

We managed to have a little of almost every dish and dessert before heading home with an empty crockpot and plate with a bunch of cookies left for me to eat. ... spot was actually very pleasant. Wonderful scenery - rolling hillsides (a pain for cycling with the loaded bikes though) full of bonny looking cattle, calves, sheep and lambs, beautiful looking pasture and lots of arable preparations going on with tractors bombing around all over the place. I wish I knew my flowers, birds, bugs, trees etc better as there is so much to see. Via the small city of Elgin with its equally small cathedral - we were aiming for a campsite at ...

    ... very cold indeed.

As one Australian lass was heard to mutter in front of us 'F****** H*** it's snowing, I don't believe it!'

This battle saw the death of many of the Clan chiefs as the Jacobites were trounced by the Government troops - there are wreaths and memorial stones for many of the Scottish clans dotted around the moorland where the battle took place. 25 miles later we'd had enough - it was freezing ...
