... thought came to me as we began cruising today (Tuesday). We had moored near a lock the night before and so I walked up to the lock to get it ready for Hazel to drive into. The lock was in our favour so I only had to push open the lock gates. It was then that I realised I had forgotten the anti vandal key that is necessary for operating the locks on the Erewash Canal. Hazel constantly has to remind me to get things ready and prepared before I start a task. ...

... park is nearly two miles long and comprises over 12 lakes and smaller ponds, wildflower meadows, woodland, grassland and reed beds. It is an ideal spot for walking, cycling, picnics, bird watching, and fishing.Running through the park are the River Soar and Grand Union

... gig one of my friends was headlining so we agreed to go and meet each other. Alas when we were there we didn't talk, she was with a friend and she'd just come out of a relationship so I decided to give her some space.

MDW took me to The Saracens Head for a liquid lunch then later we went to cousin Rebecca's house for dinner with Cousin Rebecca, Cousin Louise, Saint Richard and Toli. After feasting on battered cod and chips but declining the mushy peas we reminisced whilst watching slides of our family in the sixties.
