I am sitting in my hotel room, exhausted because its 7 hours later in Madrid than in Houston and i drank a tid bit too much of the (free) wine on the plane so i could go to sleep. I sat in 1st class which was really nice and so much better than Coach.
I landed in Madrid at 10am local time, which was 3am Houston time, so i went to sleep …
... they were fully booked as well. There was a hostel the floor above it, he suggested we try them. We went upstairs and asked and thank you Lord they had a room available. Not only was it available it was only 30€. A little more than the one downstairs but we needed a place to stay. It was run down and dodgy looking but at this rate a bed is a bed. At this stage Nadzha was starting to fade so we left. We went looking for a ...

Tapas, Chon Churros, Huevas Rotos
I could eat tapas all day. We had a fun tapa night at Taberna Alhambra on Calle de Victoria. They give you a free tapa with a drink, but we also ordered calamari and patatas bravas (fried potatoes) with spicy tomato and aoli sauces. That was a perfect combination since we like sauce with our ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Clement Barajas Madrid
We chose the Clement Barajas based on other Tripadvisor reviews and it was a good choice if you want to stay near the airport. The hotel picked us up in a complementary van after we called from the airport (make sure you know what terminal you are in). For returning to the airport, make a reservation for the van at the desk.
Struttura magnifica, molto vicina all'aeroporto.
I've stayed at Clement Barajas twice and I would highly recommend it. It is extremely close to the airport and their shuttle service was punctual and efficient. The hotel is very clean, modern, and comfortable. I paid only 60Euro for a one-night stay, although the prices posted at reception were upwards of 250...I booked directly through their website. I got a great deal!
Great Surprise to find this Hotel. Highly recommended. It's very new, and the staff is young and very kind. I have been in all the hotel round the Airport of Madrid, and this is the best with no doubt. The service is excellente and the rooms very nice and comfortable, also the provide free Internet access, and some free drinks in the minibar. The Hotel, has a nice restaurant that all guests should try.
If you want to get relax to be ready for a long journey, this is the hotel you need.
We chose to stay at the Clement Barajas our last night in Spain because of its proximity to the airport. Our room was on the top floor and had a nice little terrace (with a view that was decent but nothing special). We were exhausted after days of touring Andalucia and found it very comforting to relax in a new and beautifully designed room and to sip wine from our private terrace as the sun set. There are several restaurants in the area that seem to be decent and reasonably priced. For dinner we settled on Al Traste, which was less than a block away.
Great airport hotel
The Clement Barajas is a new, sleek hotel close to the airport. We used the complementary shuttle bus, which arrived within 10 minutes - you have to phone the hotel to send the bus. Hotel rooms & bathroom were spacious & well-appointed. French doors with Juliet balcony opened onto a side street, which was nice. We ate in the hotel restaurant 3 times; though a little pricey, the food was very good. If you have time to spare, the metro is a few minutes walk from the hotel, so you can easily reach downtown Madrid. I booked through a Spanish booking service I found on the net & was able to get good rate. After reading other reviews we had despaired of finding a decent airport hotel but would highly recommend the Clement Hotel.
After having read the awful reviews of most of the other hotels at Barajas airport, I decided to try Clement Barajas. The hotel was brand new, stylish, had a reliable shuttle bus (that picked us up and dropped us off on time), staff spoke English and were courteous, and hotel is in in walking distance from a couple of decent restaurants.
I needed a hotel for a one night layover at Barajas Airport, so chose a hotel based on the list at the aena.es web site.
Beautiful property-convenient to the airport
I needed a hotel near the airport due to an early departure. Saw an ad for the new Clement Barajas and made a reservation through their website. Though the taxi driver from Madrid downtown had a bit of trouble finding the hotel, the website directions are excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms are sparklingly new. There are a few restaurants and one gelateria in the surrounding town of Barajas, but don't expect much nightlife! I highly recommend the Clement for anyone that needs an airport hotel in Madrid.
