    ... humid) and we were on the way to Destin which was halfway between Clearwater and New Orleans. It was a 6 hour drive so I wasn't particularly looking forward to it... Clearwater was a great stop, it was fun having the dog and good company in the apartment and the beach was ok. It probably was a bit too touristy for me. There was another guy, another Jeremy, who had obviously surfed before and just showed off....surfing properly all up and down the slide like a proper surfer.....not like me just barely staying upright.     Checked out of the hotel and headed to the ship a little before Noon. It was only about 5 min by cab, to the pier. The line to drop your luggage was extremely long, and took us almost 20 min. Then upstairs for a much shorter security line, and no line for Suite Guest check in.
