        ... with staying in this cabin, dealing with punks. I slept until 6:30 because I didn't want to wake everyone else up at 5:30. I was out by 8am to the usual fog and drizzle. So depressing. It's been raining almost every day since August 29, the day I left Cascade Locks. I planned for 25 miles for today and accomplished that.         ... and Patti had lost power from the pole to their coach and the house batteries had kicked in which meant that they had ran the power in the coach until it completely drained the batteries. So, the total loss of power meant that everything in their refrigerator and freezer had spoiled! What a mess and oh man....the smell!!!! I felt to bad for them.         The next morning I volunteered as a sweeper for a 12 mile portion of the CCC course. Volunteers are granted automatic entry to the next year’s run, but that didn’t matter to me in the slightest, especially after what I had witnessed the night before.
