... one direction on the shore to my left and the other direction on the shore to my right. Just beyond the sand point, they smash against each other. Of course I do the requisite tourist thing, put one foot on each of the seas.

Biking is huge out here. It is a great way to get around. Distances are short, terrain is flat, scenery is nice, to get a hold of. Even the longer distances of my trip are only 60 miles or so, a ride I do often back home (although without the backpack).

Our goal today is the northern tip of Denmark, a little port town called Frederikshavn. The drive from Germany took us through mostly farmland and much less traffic, Only 5 million people live in Denmark. It was an easy drive and we arrived at our Hostel too early to check in so decided to check out the town and ended up finding Palm Beach, because they actually have palm trees growing there, who knew? We settled in for a late lunch ...

Aprés les efforts intenses à la plage un peu de réconfort, nous sommes accueillis trés chaleureusement autour de saumons fumés maison avec leçon de préparation pour les futurs maitres d'hotel!




La table est prête ,déja une impatiente attend l'arrivée des saumons!

Malgré cette belle journée, finalement assez fatigante, nous sommes respectueux de nos nombreux lecteurs et nous mettons au travail dès notre arrivée dans la cabane!(luxueuse la cabane,pour la location, nous pouvons vous faire parvenir de nombreuses photos!!!!)

En guise de magasins de biére nous avons atterri au paradis des pêcheurs GéGé nous n'avons photographié seulement que quelques centaines de leurres sur les 5000 en magasin et on ne parlera pas des 10000 cannes à pêche et autres waders...

... seminar/lecture. The speaker went over the history of Faberge and showed off some of the eggs that, coincidentally, can be purchased in the ship's store. After this lecture, Stephanie has decided that there really wasn’t a future in a career of food artistry, so she has abandoned that and is embracing a career as a Faberge Egg Historian.

We have dry feet again. After a four hour trip across Skagerrak, we have finally "terra firma" under our feet. Getting ready for a 9 hour drive to the Netherlands now. We'll see whether we have a sleep over on the way, or whether I am going to push it for a straight drive through.

I wasn't looking for a great event job like the one I had left back home, just a summer job to make friends and some money to continue my travels throughout Europe. But the success rate wasn't that good. I got a few ´well will call you if anything comes up´but nothing óh yes we need you´type thing, which was a bit downing, but I just tried to keep positive in knowing something good will hopefully pass my way........fingers crossed ...

... house...well over here in Denmark anyway! The place enjoyed an outdoor BBQ area, jacuzzi (didn't use unfortunately!) and candles everywhere. Very newicce, very newicce indeed. Once we settled in, we went down to the supermarket to pick up supplies for the ´night´.....well 2000KR later, one could say we stocked up for the weekend!! hehehehe, it was great though, anything you wanted over the weekend, just chuck into the trolley. I had my first coffee that I have ever had in my life when one of them bought Irish coffee for us (not sure why), tasted kind of interesting, we'll see if I ever drink another one again.
