    We stayed in a little river/ocean side town today. It was right at the mouth of the Columbia river. We took a walk along the pier and ate bagel bites for dinner. (thanks gas station microwave) In the morning we had a wonderful continental breakfast at the hotel and were on our way.     Rode NW from Portland this morning for 60 miles to catch up with an old friend of Willy's. Had lunch at Camp 18 - a restaurant out in the middle of nowhere.     ... Longview in the grand tradition of small towns has found their niche with squirrel bridges. Seriously tree suspension bridges made so the squirrels can cross the street overhead without being run over . The kids were amused by these bridges.
