Winters a coming...nope its come

Yesterday after I had competed my 4 hour trip beneath the earth’s surface, being educated on all kinds of rocky erosions, completing a 60M abseil, a flying fox through St Benedict’s cavern and generally enforcing my belief that Waitomo is one of the few value for money and least overhyped things to do in NZ, we hit the one and only bar in this one-street town, Curlys.

Our last road trip
... diverse economy. The only geographical appeal would be the Waikato river. However, the river is barely noticeable when you walk in the city centre. The centre is fairly contemporary and not really exciting. We decide to have our packed lunch in a park north of the river.
We then drive the 130km left to reach Auckland in one go. And as we get closer to the big city the road widens and the traffic increases…

Having fun & Setting sights
