I was so excited to realize that I've run 888 miles for you Ciaran! That puts us just a little north of Bowling Green, Ohio. We are almost to the state of Michigan, which is the last state before we get to Canada!!

I think that the coolest thing about Bowling Green, Ohio has to be the wind turbines. Just outside of town, there are 4 giant wind turbines. They use the power of ...

I started the day with a drive from Youngstown, OH to lovely Punderson State Park. By the way, state parks are awesome-- each one has its own lovely surprise, plus at Punderson I got a free chocolate chip cookie from the Punderson Porch ladies, plus a beautiful hike and a hot shower for free. It turns out that staying clean on the road is ...

Last night in Monroeville, another cyclist came into town to stay at the shelter. It's so large that they have accommodated over 25 cyclists at one time. It's been so long since I've talked to someone else doing a journey. His name is Patrick. He's very thin, has a bushy strawberry blonde beard, and a Bianchi bike that weighs about 100lbs. It's nice riding ...

      Day 25

A travel blog entry by danielstravels on Jul 26, 2014

We were up at 6:30a.m. and left the hotel before 8:00a.m. We made it to Toledo by 5:00. We were in our driveway before 6:00p.m. after a trip to the grocery store. All animals are alive, well, and happy to see us! Now the fun part of cleaning out the car:(

Yes, we would leave tomorrow and do it all over again if we could! There were a few meltdowns along the way, but the laughter and experiences far exceeded the not-so-fun times.
