... of the French countryside with some English folks (Amanda, her daughter Alexandra, and Amanda's mother-in-law Jan) renovating their house; they earned their room and board by assisting in the renovation, laying tile. When I was hanging out with the two of them in La Cinque Terre, they were raving on and on for a good long while about what amazing people the folks they stayed with are. As it happens, they told ...

Helene left us after a fez days, and we stayed on our own in coussay whilst papa, maman and granny went back to Thouars. It's nearly the end now, only one more stage until we come back home!
Coussay, Poitou-Charentes, France natsandfrancois... down the Nile, felt the effects of a meteor hitting the earth, dodged dinosaurs and experienced the lunar landing from the viewpoint of an animated fly.
We reached another Howie milestone when both parents chickened out of the dancing with the automated robots. The boys described this experience as 'awesome'. We will take their word for it.
Our campsite tonight is a special Campervan designated carpark, a bargain at only 6 euros, we just need to be on our way before 8am.
... an easy thing to be involved in but with their own field and plenty of grub they have a darn site better life than battery farmed chickens. Julie cooked him well and so he was very tender unlike other male chickens I have eaten.
I've been for some nice walks too, even in the heat. Yesterday was a day off for both of us. Kaja went for a cycle ride. Sooty, the dog, and I went for a walk it was lovely - along the green line, across the ...
... and found another free camping spot. However, this place wasn't so luxurious. In fact as we were going to bed some french kids started drinking on a bench a few yards away. Olly had a go at some manly stuff and tried his hand at fishing. Need I say he failed. Fish don't like pain au chocolat. But on the plus side we saw a frog the size of a puppy.
... lost in the city centre. Then it started raining so much you could barely see.
30 miles down the road it was still raining and we pulled into a shopping complex for some food. Then the sun came out, our hangovers were gone, and we started cooking. . . . just sitting outside the shop on the ground on the edge of the car park. Every other car beeped at us in confusion. ... I mean really ! That's OK, I know where a few hotels in Paris are, I'll just drive there and get a room because I still have that map in my head. The second hotel I stopped at in Paris has a room and is very reasonable. I am not so sure about parking in the street in Paris, so I have the hotel guy come out and make sure it is OK to park there, he looks and says it is fine. I am exhausted, because now it's around midnight. I go to my room lay down and fall asleep without even turning down the bed.

She explained to me the steps I have to follow to finally get a schedule, but she told me to wait until 2pm since the secretaries' office was closed until that time. Of course, they have lunch from noon to 2. I get to their office at around 1pm, since I had nothing else to do on campus meanwhile, and, guess what, they are closed on wednesdays. Sur-****in'-prise! However, looking around on one of the tables nearby, I notice a bunch of papers ...

Poitiers, Poitou-Charentes, France umbr.ellaDylan: Today we drove through the Limousin region and stopped at St. Savin, Chauvigny and finished up at Poitiers. In St. Savin we saw a very good church.
