... to board a small boat for a cruise down to Dalyan. We thought there might have only been a few on the boat, but by the time it left at 10am it was fully loaded with Turks, Dutch, French and two Australians. We all had our tables and that was where we stayed! We sat with two lovely young Parisians and had a wonderful time dispelling some stereotypes ...

The waterfront and boardwalks have a great ambience and are full of great 'turkish style' open-air restaurants.


For us these Turkish Riviera Resorts are a real 'find' and match any in the rest of Europe .. they are beautiful.

I plan to stay in Marmaris until Saturday, then go to Fethiye to look at another boat. I have no idea how long I will stay here in Turkey; it depends on several things. Here are just a few pix that I took while having lunch today at the marina. Love and best wishes to all.

... Unfortunately, we'd only enjoy them for about an hour the next morning. But as nice as these rooms were, the only bedding they provided was a thin blanket that felt more like a towel and didn't even cover the top surface of the bed. Sam and I fought over that piece of cloth all night, and finally resorted to using the hotel bath robes instead as blankets.
